CO2 Flooding Conference activity opened at 8:00 am at the Midland Center (MC) in Downtown Midland on Wednesday, Dec 7th with a field trip to Whiting’s North Ward Estes (NWE) field and CO2 facilities in Ward County, Texas. Buses departed at 8:30 am
Schedule (Times are Approximate)
- 8:30-9:30 Bus to new Gas Plant Control Room
- 9:30-10:50 Greetings, orientation, questions, pick up PPE and SCADA field tour hand out, tour Gas Plant, Questions
- 10:50-11:15 Drive to and discuss injection well operations
- 11:15-12:25 Drive to Bar-H Restaurant in Monahans for lunch.
- 12:25-1:05 Drive to and discuss producing well operations
- 1:05-1:40 Drive to and discuss a primary separation and well testing facility
- 1:40-2:05 Drive to and discuss secondary separation and a water collection/transfer facility
- 2:05-2:30 Drive to and discuss oil sales facility
- 2:30-3:00 Drive to and discuss Water Injection Plant
- 3:00-3:30 Drive Gas Plant Control Room, Comfort Stop, turn in hard hats and safety glasses, exchange business cards.
- 3:30-4:30 Bus ride back to Midland
